Portfolio Development Course This course was designed to give essential information to individuals that want to pursue art as a career. During the twelve-week sessions, I focus on drawing and painting development for creative compositions that can be used in the portfolio. I present slide talks about historic and contemporary artists, presentation of work, and how to talk about art.
Drawing for Kids This was twelve sessions on the essential fundamentals for kids to understand different mediums in art and have hands on experience. While working they also received historic information about the different mediums. 2010 - 2011 (both courses)
Taught for the Educational Department in the Historic Museum at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Philadelphia, PA I worked on many different programs offered through the educational department in the historic museum. I gave tours through the historic museum and talked about the collection to all ages. There was an outreach program to the Philadelphia public and private schools to come and learn about certain paintings in the collection. I would bring the students to the painting, give them the historic background on the piece, and talk about the artist. The students would interact by using material provided to draw a diagram of the composition. I also taught a Saturday class designed for all ages that offered the opportunity to work on art related projects. 2008 - 2009

Research Experience
Research Assistant to Professor Al Gury, Philadelphia, PA I was the research assistant from September 2009 to early January 2010 for Professor Al Gury. The educational book he was writing is called, Color for Painters: A Guide to Traditions and Practice. During this time, I was working very closely with rights and reproductions of various museums, galleries, and private estates for images. The involvement in this process gave me the necessary knowledge for writing a book for publication. 2009 - 2010
Painting Assistant for Diane Burko, Philadelphia, PA I worked with the artist in her studio and helped with many contemporary art related material. 2008
Assistant for the Sculpture and Painting Departments for the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Philadelphia, PA I assisted in the painting department overseeing the Chair’s Office and working on department projects. One of my main projects was documenting all the casts in the historic cast hall. This project involved researching the origin of the cast, photo documenting, and providing information about the pieces. I also assisted the sculpture department in the foundry, wood-shop, plaster/clay, & marble studios. 2005 - 2006
